David A. “Dave” Hodurski of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
He was born August 6, 1947 in Suffern, NY to the late Bruno & Etoile Ann Hodurski; and he came here from Cape Cod, MA in 1996. He was retired from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office in Massachusetts and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, spending family time with his grandkids and he was a volunteer shuttle driver for Bok Tower Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Elmore Hodurski; daughters, Julie Johnson and husband, Jeremy of Douglas, GA, Stephanie Knight and husband, James of Adel, GA and Tanya Lawson and fiancé, Ronnie Frye of Lake Wales; sons, SGTp Anthony Bruno Hodurski and wife, Shannon of Colorado Springs, CO and T.J. Lawson and wife, Lacey of Lake Wales; sister, Brunianne Snow of South Dennis, MA; brothers, John Hodurski of Harwich, MA and Michael Hodurski of Ongunquit, ME; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until the funeral service at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 28, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Committal service will be held 2:30 pm Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bok Tower Gardens (Share A Gift, 1151 Tower Blvd., Lake Wales, FL 33853).
