David Lee Halsey

David L. Halsey of Lake Wales, FL passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born January 1, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Lawrence and June (Johnstone) Halsey and has been a winter resident of Florida for 40 years and a permanent resident of Florida for the past 5 years moving here from Ohio. David was a retired builder/contractor in home construction. He enjoyed antique cars and restoring them, he was the former owner of Buckeye Awning in Toledo, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Shirley J. Halsey; 7 children, William & Deborah Halsey, Mike & Carol Halsey, David Halsey, Brenda & Marty Liebat, Barbara Lenhart, Richard & Nancy Clark, David & Geneva Clark; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 12:30 pm Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Calvary Bible Church (3740 West Alexis Road, Toledo, OH).
