LAKE WALES--David Brian Earley, 50, of Lake Wales died of liver cancer Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at his residence.
Born May 25, 1957 in Dayton, OH; he came here 19 years ago from Dayton, OH. Graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1976. He was an assistant manager for Captain D’s Seafood. He attended the Burns Avenue Church of God. He loved gardening and sports including the Cincinnati Reds and NCAA basketball. He also assisted as a Lake Wales Little League Coach and was a true blue loyal royal Warner Southern basketball fan.
Mr. Earley was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Godown Earley; brother, Dennis O’Connor; and foster parents, John and Mollie Lee. Survivors include his wife, Cyndi Perkins-Earley of Lake Wales; their “kids”, Toby, Little Bit, GrayCee, and Cruiser; father, Charles Denver Earley; brothers, Douglas Earley; Christopher Earley; Jimmy Orso; James O’Conner; Vernon William; sisters, Linda Liddle; Donna Perry; Cheryl Elsner; Karen Rohrer; Elizabeth Bailey; Treva Lindsey.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM and from 5:30 until service time at 6:30 PM, Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Memorial services will also be held in Dayton, Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Warner Southern College Athletic Department, the American Cancer Society or the Cornerstone Hospice.
