FROSTPROOF -- Mr. David W. Cowles of Frostproof died Saturday (April 1, 2006). The cause of death is pending autopsy results. He was 23.

Born Nov. 1, 1982, in Winter Haven, he was a lifelong resident. He was a laborer. He was a member of several car clubs. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Cowles is survived by his daughter, Nevaeh La Rae Cowles, Frostproof; father, J.D. Cowles, Bremen, Ga.; mother, Susan Scott, Frostproof; stepmother, Deborah Cowles, Bremen; stepfather, Randy Scott, Frostproof; brothers, Steven Barnett, Orlando, Jesse Barnett, Auburndale, and Dalton Scott, Frostproof; sisters, Leslie Anne Cowles, Taylor Dickinson and Whitney Scott, all of Frostproof, Stephanie Barnett, Mulberry; maternal grandparents, Hank and Joyce Piarrot, Frostproof; and maternal great-grandparents Frank and Willie Mae Walker of Frostproof.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 this morning at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Frostproof. Services will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Silver Hill Cemetery.
