David H Bohannon

David H. Bohannon a lifetime resident of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family at the age of 71.

David was born October 16, 1947 in Lake City, Florida to the late WA (Archie) and Emma (Page) Bohannon. David retired from Lykes Brothers in 2015 after 32 years of employment. He was a 1965 graduate of Lake Wales High School and he attended Orlando Barber College in the 70’s and worked for Gary Bear Barber Shop after graduating. He joined the Navy right after graduation. He loved his children, grandchildren and his fur babies Marilyn and Beau. He loved working in the yard and fishing, he could always find something to do outside. He loved to watch Hali play softball and Travis play Baseball.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Brother, Roger Bohannon and Nephew Roy Bohannon.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Bonnie; daughter, Lisa of Lake Wales, son, Brian (Spring) of Folsom, Ca., daughter/granddaughter, Hali of Lake Wales, grandson, Andrew of Davenport, Jayden of Folsom, Ca and Travis of Lake Wales.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am Monday, July 29, 2019 with funeral services at 11:00 am at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Bolden officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
