Darlene Pearl Ritter

Darlene Pearl Ritter of Babson Park passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at her residence.

She was born October 9, 1943 in Vindex, MD to the late Wilburn & Margaret Sharpless; she moved here from Ohio 10 years ago. She was retired from the Polk County School Board and a member of High Point Church. She was very passionate about her children on bus 926 and missed them dearly.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Mike Ritter; daughters, Donna Young (Joe) of Babson Park and Mary Pennington of Babson Park; sons, Eugene Day (Barbara) of Lake Wales and Richard Day (Michelle) of Cincinnati, OH; step-children, Shelley, Becky, Rick and Matt; sisters, Diane McClure (Art) of Babson Park, Jeanie Tomasko (Stef), Mary Alford (Bob) and Shirley Emrick all of Pennsylvania; brothers, Bob Sharpless (Betty) of Babson Park, Herbert Sharpless, Joe Sharpless (Sue) and John Sharpless (Kim) all of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial service will be held at High Point Church.
