Danny Lee Scott, 74

Danny L. Scott of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Winter Haven Hospital Florida.

He was born January 4, 1944 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Charles B. and Virginia J. (Sparling) Scott. He has been a resident of the area since 1999 coming from Caro, Michigan. He was a Switching Equipment Technician for Michigan Bell and Ameritech for 30 years. Danny was a veteran in the United States Army during Viet Nam. He was a member of the American Legion, Cherry Pocket Kountry Klub and Optimist Club.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Debra K. Scott, daughters Traci L. Allen (Mark) of Bellevue, MI, Tracy Lynn Blanton, Kissimmee, FL, son Scott T. Scott (Renee Thompson) of Lake Wales, FL, sisters Peggy Hutton of Caro, MI, Deeann Downing of Utah, brothers Leon Scott (Sheryl) Haines City, FL, Kim Scott of Haines City, FL, 7 grandchildren Amanda Sharpe, Ashlee Montgomery, Kalib Blanton, Kaylynn Blanton, Kyle Scott, Logan Scott, Ella Scott and 1 great grandchild Emmett A. Sharpe.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
