Daniel Thomas Wilken

Daniel T. “Dan” Wilken 68, of Nalcrest passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born on May 11, 1947 in Mt. Forrest,Michigan to the late Lawrence and Lucille ( Simon) Wilken and he has been a resident of this area for 7 years moving here from Jackson, Michigan. Daniel was a retired letter carrier for the US Postal Service. He enjoyed Bingo, basketball and swimming at the pool, playing pool and fishing, he enjoyed taking walks. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Nalcrest and the NALC.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Wilken and sister, Janeen Wilken.

Survivors include his daughters, Allie Nadell and husband Arthur of Jackson, Michigan, Emilie Inman and husband Christopher of Jackson, Michigan; sister, Glenora Noble of Colorado, Germaine Denton of Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Larry Wilken of Missouri, Jerry Wilken of Kansas, 4 grandchildren, Hayley, Marcus, Ethan and Marayah.

Memorial services will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the St. Johns United Church of Christ 270 Bohne Road Grass Lake, MI 49240.
