Daniel James Roy, Sr. of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at AdventHealth Land O’ Lakes.

He was born September 5, 1944 in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Alfred and Delia Roy; he moved to Lake Wales from Manchester, New Hampshire in November of 1982. Daniel was a maintenance supervisor for the Polk County School Board and was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam from 1963 until 1965. He was an outdoors man who loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed watching movies and going to the casino.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Roy; sons, Daniel Roy, Jr. of Lakeland, and Dennis Roy of Frostproof; brother, Richard Roy and wife Mary of Lake Wales; seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

A meet and greet will be held from 1:30 p.m. until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating.
