Daniel T. "Dan" Cowles

Daniel T. “Dan” Cowles of Haines City passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale.

He was born June 25, 1939 in Mokelumne, CA to the late Milton S. and Louvernia Mae Cowles; and he moved to the area in 2008 from Wisconsin. He was a retired organ and tv salesman and service tech, a former truck driver and a member of the Shamrock Baptist Church in Haines City. He enjoyed boating, traveling and family time.

Preceded in death by sister Barbara.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mixon Cowles; sons, Jeff A. Cowles and wife, Cindy of Kaysville, UT, Jim Cowles of Laytonville, CA, Buster Mixon of Live Oak and Robert Mixon of Haines City; brothers, David L. Cowles and wife, Beverly of Avon Park and C.S. Cowles and wife, Marjorie of Napa, ID; and three grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Shamrock Baptist Church in Haines City with Rev. Glen Giles officiating.
