Daniel L. “Dan” Carpenter, 74 of Grant, Michigan fought a courageous battle and went to be with his Lord Friday, January 5, 2018 passing peacefully at his Florida home.
He was born September 15, 1943 in Charlevoix, Michigan to the late Robert and Reva (Jontz) Carpenter and he has been a winter resident of Florida since 1999. He was a retired Automotive Process Engineer.
Dan was a Pilot, loved to bass fish, hunt and camp, woodworking, riding motorcycles and music.
He could make or build anything.
Dan’s dynamic personality would attract his family and friends to frequently gather at their home.
He was a dedicated member of the Northland Church of Christ in Grant, Michigan.
Survivors include the love of his life for 53 years, Diana C. Carpenter; daughter, Kimberley Nichols (James) of Sand Lake, Michigan; son, Christopher Carpenter (Jill) of Grant, Michigan; sister, Elnora Hartman (Walter) of Coloma, Michigan; brother, Douglas Carpenter (Amy) of Lake Ann, Michigan; 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Denver, Daniel, Ryan and Trever; 13 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother and sisters in laws, Leonard and Colleen Halverson, Roy and Pam Halverson and Bonnie Marchwinski.
