Daniel R. Betler

Daniel R. “Dan” Betler, 78 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born April 12, 1936 in Helvetia, West Virginia to the late John and Mildred (Cole) Betler and has been a resident of Florida for the past 16 years. He was a retired cement truck driver in Indiana. Dan was a member of the Teamsters Union with Ozinga Concrete, and served in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Monroe.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Betler; daughters, Debbie Syjut of Hobart, Indiana, Linda Johnson of Brighton, Colorado; step daughter, Teresa Swarts of Elkhart, Indiana; son, Dennis Betler of Elkhart, Indiana; step sons, James Swarts , Walter Sanders and Donald Sanders all of Hobart, Indiana; sister, Garnet Balis of Salem, West Virginia; 5 grandchildren.
