Cory Dione Wright of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at his residence.

He was born January 1, 1977 in Dayton, OH; he came here six years ago from Dayton, OH. He was a machine operator for Tucker Paving and a member of the High Point Church. He was a basketball and football coach and an avid fan of the Spurs and Patriots.

Cory was preceded in death by his father, Gerry Miller; aunt, Barbara Potter; and a cousin, Stacey Baxter. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Lititia Wright; six daughters, Destiny Wright, Laketa Wright, Latavia Cressel, Tabriah Wright, Emily Wright and Kobe Wright; three sons, Cory Wright, Jr., Damon Wright and Malachi Wright; mother, Diana Celia Baxter; two sisters, Erica Wright and Janice Wright; brother, David Wright; five grandchildren, Harmoni, Carmen, Ava, Caia and Kayden; mother-in-law, Crystal Jackson; sister-in-law, Georgia Jackson; special cousin, Bill and wife, Johnalyn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at High Point Church in Lake Wales.
