LAKE WALES -- Mr. Cornelius "Blackie" Dusina of Lake Wales died of heart failure Thursday (Feb. 23, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 84.
Born in Blue Diamond, Ky., on Dec. 21, 1921, he came to Lake Wales from Cincinnati in 1988. He worked in refrigeration and air conditioning for Ford Motor Co. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Saddlebag Lake Community Church.
Mr. Dusina is survived by his wife, Loraine F. Dusina; daughter, Karen F. Rolf, Cincinnati; stepdaughters, Kathy Chafin, Trenton, Ohio, Diane VanNostran, Naples, Pamela Bourne, Patricia Schroer, both of Oxford, Ohio, Lori Chafin, Hamilton, Ohio; son, Joseph C. Dusina, West Worthington, Ohio; stepson, Chip Chafin, West College Corner, Ind.; brother, Earl H. Dusina, Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Margaret Lorene Schlierman, West Covina, Calif., Flora Hamilton, Redbush, Ky.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Saddlebag Lake Community Church. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mount Healthy, Ohio.
