LAKE WALES -- Mr. Corbett G. Watson Sr. of Lake Wales died of heart disease Monday (June 5, 2006) at Winter Haven Hospital. He was 72.

Born in Bartow on April 23, 1934, he was a lifelong resident. He was a pipe fitter and a member of Pipe Fitters Local No. 624.

Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Watson. He is survived by his son, Corbett G. Watson Jr., Lake Wales; brothers, Ellis Watson, Lake Wales, Jessie Watson, Haines City; sister, Betty Jo Hann, DeLand; one granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thurday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Lake Wales Cemetery.
