Cody A. Balster of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Friday, November 9, 2018.

He was born April 3, 1991 in Joplin, Missouri. He has been a resident of the area for 2 years coming from Tennessee. He was a Motorcycle Mechanic. Cody loved riding motorcycles and participated in many charity rides. He was a graduate of MMI. He loved helping others and collecting knives. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a veteran in the United States Army serving in Afghanistan. He was awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), and NATO Medal.

He is survived by his parents Pete and Sarah Balster of MO, daughter Joscilyn Mae Balster of MO, son Joseph Allen Hawkins of MO, sister Tedie Balster of MO, and his beloved fiancé Brooke Coulter.

Celebration of Life Services will be November 24, 2018 at 2:00PM. The service will be at the VFW post 2590 at 16759 Inca Road, Carthage, MO 64836.

A memorial ride will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM starting at Sunshine Flea Market in Lake Wales.
