Clifford Rodger Waterman

Clifford Rodger Waterman of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at his residence.

He was born in Westmoreland, PA on April 25, 1931 to the late John Edward and Martha Cleda (Rodgers) Waterman; and came to Lake Wales from Lake Orion, MI in 1978. He was an automotive mechanic for the public school system, of the Methodist faith, and a veteran of Korea, serving in the U.S. Army. He was also a member of the VFW of Auburndale and was a racing fan.

Clifford was preceded in death by his wife, Arlena and his son, John Edward Waterman. He is survived by his sons, Clifford Rodgers Waterman Jr. of Winter Haven, Mark Dean Waterman of Indian Lake Estates and Bryan Eugene Waterman of Lake Wales; sisters, Norma Jackson of Lower Burrell, PA and Lorraine Walsh of Taos, NM; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, October 2, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church of Lake Wales with Rev. Jeffrey Kantz officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Auburndale.
