Bishop C.E. McKay, 95, of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on May 20, 1920 in Greenville, SC to the late Jesse Talmage and Florence R. (Matthews) McKay and he has been a resident of this area since 2004 moving here from West Virginia. He was a retired Evangelical Minister. Claude enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a welder by trade. He attended New Harvest Worship Center and served in the US Navy.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Reynolds; daughter, Barbara Dell McKay and sister, Kay McConnell.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Barbara L. McKay, Daughters, Debbie Reynolds of Charlottesville, VA, Valerie Williams and husband Victor of Holopaw, Fl.; sons, David McKay and wife Debbie of Webster, Fl., Paul McKay and wife Charlene of Olsten, Fl., Carlton Reynolds of Holopaw, Fl., Frank Lang and wife Linda of St. Angelo, TX, Donald Lang and wife Vanessa of Bunker Hill, WVA; sisters, Katie Foy of Orlando, Sue Matthew of Cleveland, TN; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at New Harvest Worship Center with Rev. Steve Livingston officiating.
