Clarence Eugene Rhudy of Lake Wales passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at The Groves Center.
He was born November 3, 1926 in Fries, VA to the late Onie & Phoebe Rhudy. He was a retired forklift driver for St. Joe Paper Company, a member of the Golfview Park Church of God and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, flower gardening and vegetable gardening. He was a good Christian family man that was always willing to help those in need.
Clarence was preceded in death four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Fannie Rhudy; son, Earl Rhudy Goodwin of Winter Haven; two sisters, Ruby Nelson of Lake Wales and Margaret Ward of Lake Wales; two grandchildren, Christina Goodwin and Mitchell Goodwin; and one great-grandson, Nicolas Goodwin.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Golfview Park Church of God with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
