LAKE WALES--Clarence Edgar Caudill, 88, of Lake Wales died from cancer Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Savannah Court.

Born June 15, 1918 in Roaring Fork, VA; he came to the area 6 years ago from West Palm Beach. He was a retired inspector for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a member of the South Lake Wales Church of God; and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Caudill was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Mae Caudill. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Caudill Smith of Vernon, CT; son, David Avery Caudill of Hobe Sound; sister, Nola Treadway of Oak Hill, WV; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 18, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales with Rev. Bob Beckler officiating. Interment will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach.
