Clara B. Davis

Jesus Christ received Clara B. Davis into heaven on the night of November 27th, 2024. Clara has been a resident of Lake Wales since November 1974.

Clara is survived by her eight children. Rhonda Davis of Tampa, Florida. Princilla Davis, Stella Davis, and Donna Davis of Lake Wales, Florida. Reginald "Reggie" Davis of Zolfo Springs, Florida. Sir Toney Davis of Lake Wales, Florida. Clarissa Davis of Seattle, Washington. Everett Davis of Tampa, Florida. She has several grandchildren including Victoria Davis, Mariah Davis, Alayna Mentz, Bruce Hull III, August Hull, and a great grandson Elijah.

Clara was born September 20, 1944 in Williston, Florida to the late Sgt. Clarence Davis & Martha Elease Davis. She began working at age 7 as a field hand in North Florida. She went to a segregated school every other day. She worked the fields the other half of the week. Clara loved school. She sang alto in the school choir, performed in theater, was voted class sweetheart, and was an honor roll student. Clara's greatest joy was serving God and teaching her kids about Jesus. Clara was a poet and enjoyed traveling. Her favorite destinations were South Africa, Zimbabwe, and the Smokey Mountains. Clara's legacy of love, kindness, and most importantly devotion to God lives on.
