Clara R. Cobb

Clara Cobb of Frostproof passed away November 9, 2010 at the Brandywyne Healthcare Facility in Winter Haven.

Clara was born August 7, 1933 in Boaz, AL to the late Hubert and Bessie (Dunn) Owens. She was a supervisor for Donald Duck, then later retired from Ben Hill Griffin, Inc. as a citrus packer. She was also a member of the Frostproof Church of God. She loved fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.
Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy, and great-grandchild, Eli. Survivors include her daughters, Jan (Vic) Jones of Frostproof, Darlene (Orville) O’Bannon of Lakeland; son, Neal (Roxanne) Cobb of Frostproof; grandchildren, Kimberly (Ron) Lang of Babson Park, Justin Jones of Lake Wales, Derek (Lesley) O’Bannon of Lakeland, Jocelyn O’Bannon of Lakeland, Brandon (Sabrina) Cobb of Frostproof, Alyssa Cobb of Frostproof; and great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Ciara, Braden, Abby, Wyatt, and one on the way.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 12, 2010 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Sammy Haag officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
