Born on August 3, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, Christopher lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his career, and the passions that enriched his soul.

Christopher’s professional journey was defined by his role as a publisher for Scene Magazine in Sarasota, where he was widely respected for his commitment to quality and his keen insight into the vibrant cultural landscape of the area. His contributions helped cultivate a richer community dialogue and a deeper appreciation for local arts and events.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Christopher was an avid outdoorsman who found solace and joy in hunting, fishing, and the embrace of nature. His love for music and attendance at concerts was well known among his circle of friends, underscoring a zest for life that was both spirited and heartfelt. A devoted animal lover, Christopher was recognized as a caring pet person, reflecting his gentle and nurturing character.

Christopher is survived by his wife, Eva Seger, and their children: Tina Seger of Sarasota, Florida; Alex Seger of Colorado; Christopher Seger and his wife Mavis of Sarasota, Florida; Stepdaughter Danielle Landelius of Sarasota, Florida, his stepson Hampus Landelius and wife Josephine of Stockholm. His siblings, Bridgett, Ted Seger of Orlando, and Jeffrey Seger of Bradenton, continue to honor his memory alongside six beloved grandchildren who deeply felt his affection and guidance.

He also leaves behind the memory of his son Shaun Seger, who preceded him in death, as well as his sister Carlene. Christopher was born to Rudolph Seger and Jacqulin Carl, whose legacies live on through their son’s enduring impact.

Christopher Edward Seger’s life was a testament to his values, family, passion, and community. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit endures in the many lives he touched.
