Christine S. Wood, 87, of Frostproof, Florida passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence in Frostproof, FL. She was born on June 20, 1928, in Dale County, Alabama to the late Cliffton and Eva (Davenport) Skipper and has been a resident of this area since 1960 moving here from Alabama. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and all the duties of a pastor’s wife. She was a member of Family Life Church in Frostproof. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Rev. James B. Wood; daughters, Sharon (Raymond) March of Frostproof, Kathy (David) Norka of Winter Haven and Sandra Wood Schulz of Lake Wales, FL; son, Andy J. (Cheryl) Wood of Pinckard, AL; 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Sister, Gladys Skipper of Dothan AL and brother, Larry Skipper of Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 6, 2016, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at Family Life Church in Frostproof with Rev. Kelly Galati and Rev. Terry Rayburn officiating.
