Chom Thammavong, 63

Chom Thammavong of Lake Wales passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023, at AdventHealth Orlando.

He was born March 5, 1960 in Laos, Houyxai to the late Keo and Keing Thammavong; he moved to Lake Wales from Kissimmee 19 years ago. Chom was an automotive detailer and of the Buddhist faith. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing tennis with his family.

Chom was preceded in death by his daughter, Souvanny Thammavong. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Wanpheng Thammavong; son, Surasai Thammavong of Minnesota; and sister, Thip Thammavong of Minnesota.

A funeral service will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales.
