Charlie Meyer Jr

Charlie Meyer of Lake Wales passed away Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born July 21, 1954 in Avon Park and he has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a carpenter and a member of the Wayside Baptist Church. He like to fish, enjoyed laying tile and his construction work.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Jane Walters Meyer and a sister, Vanessa O'loane. Survivors include his father & step-mother, Charles Meyer Sr & Lois Meyer of Lake Wales; a brother, Fred Meyer of Sebring; step-brother, Barry Dodson of Richburg, SC; and a step-sister, Lynn Laughter of Dalton, GA.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2012 and the funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, May 10, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Herb Schlenker officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
