Charles Santo Zito, known fondly as Chuck, passed away on December 10, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. Born on June 21, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, Chuck lived a life rich in family and faith.
He dedicated his career to Information Services for General Electric for 34 years, where he made many contributions over the years. Chuck proudly served as a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard Reserve, embodying a spirit of service that guided him throughout his life. He was a member of the Optimist Club and enjoyed coaching youth sports. Chuck had a passion for various hobbies, which included flower and vegetable gardening, woodworking, and being a WWII historian. He was also an avid fan of Florida State University, his alma mater, where he played baseball during his time there.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Salvatore and Rose Zito. He was a devoted family man, married to his loving wife Sandy Zito for 64 years. He is survived by his children: Debra Potts and her husband William "Bill" of Glen Burnie, Maryland; Linda Zito of Linthicum, Maryland; and Steven Zito of Linthicum, Maryland. Chuck took great joy in his role as a grandfather to Christopher along with his partner Rebecca, and Nicholas, and as a great-grandfather to David and Kurt. He is also remembered by his loving brother Edward Zito of Miami.

His life was marked by love, dedication, and a quiet strength that will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
