Charles James Walker, Jr.

Charles James Walker, Jr. of Frostproof passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Auburndale Oaks in Auburndale under the care of Good Shepherd Hospice.

He was born May 24, 1935 in Louisville, Mississippi to the late Charles & Lillie Mae Walker; and he came here from Kankakee, IL. He was a retired roofer and a parishioner at Holy Grace Catholic Church in Avon Park. He was a devoted caregiver for the last 16 years to his wife of 54 years until her death in 2012.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Walker; two sons, Eddie Curwick and Dave Walker; and his brother, Perry Walker. Survivors include his daughter, Theresa M. Martin of Frostproof and her son, Joshua Martin of Avon Park; sons, Bob Walker and wife, Sandy of Kankakee, IL, Rick Walker of Frostproof and James Curwick and wife, Sharon of Port St. Lucie; many sisters, many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

No services have been scheduled at this time.
