Charles Thomas “Charlie” Walden, 68

Charles Thomas “Charlie” Walden of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Lake Wales.

He was born August 3, 1955, in Bartow to the late Thomas and Dorothy Walden. Charlie was a UPS Driver for 30 years and previously a pipefitter and welder. He was of the Christian faith and loved fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with his granddaughters. His most important mission was to help others.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debbie Walden; daughter, Charlene “Brooke” Kremm of Frostproof who shared a birthday with him; brother, Waylon Walden of Folkston, Georgia; granddaughters, Alana and Lilly; and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 1:00 PM until the service time at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Frostproof with Pastor Michael Arms officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his honor can be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org or P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741).
