LAKE WALES--Charles R. “Charlie” Stone, 69, of Lake Wales died Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

Born October 23, 1937 in Detroit, MI; he came to the area in 2000 from Floral City. He was retired from the U.S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, air boating and gator hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Stone of Lake Wales; daughters, Sandy Stone of Rochester, MI; Patty Bushey of Ellsworth, MI; and brother, Tom Stone of Lake Alfred.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
