Charles David Sloan

Charles David Sloan, born on April 3, 1954, in Winchester, Indiana, passed away on August 7, 2026. Throughout his 72 years, Charles lived a life marked by humility, dedication, and deep affection for those around him.

Charles was known to many as a quiet and humble man. Professionally, he was a skilled glass maker—a craft that requires patience, precision, and artistry, all characteristics he embodied. Outside of his craft, Charles found happiness in the simple joys of life. He especially loved to fish, spending countless peaceful hours by the water, finding tranquility and connection with nature. Those close to him will also remember his fondness for cigars, a pleasure he savored quietly and with appreciation.

Charles is survived by his devoted wife, Christina Sloan; step-daughter, Erin Brown; two step-sons, Brian Ozbun and Jason Ozbun; as well as several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley Sloan; and his brothers and sisters.
