PINELLAS PARK -- Mr. Charles Tarpley "Tops" Mitchell Jr. of Pinellas Park, formerly of Frostproof, died of lung cancer Tuesday (Dec. 13, 2005) at home. He was 63.

Born in Frostproof on Dec. 22, 1941, he moved to Pinellas Park from St. Petersburg 22 years ago. He was a retired meat cutter for Publix Grocery Store. He was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his daughter, Lynn Adams, Lithia, Lori Mitchell, St. Petersburg; brother, Larry Mitchell, Arlington, Va.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Frostproof.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Path Hospice of Tampa or the American Cancer Society.
