Charles Edward Meyer, 87

Charles Edward Meyer of Lake Wales passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at AdventHealth Lake Wales.

He was born March 23, 1935, in Clinton, Indiana to the late Carl Lambert and Gertrude Meyer; he came to Lake Wales in 1978 from Boca Raton. He was the owner/operator of a towing company and of the Christian faith. He was a member of the V.F.W., Elk’s Lodge, Moose Lodge, American Legion and loved to bowl.

Survivors include his sons, Thomas M. Meyer (Krystin) of Lake Wales and Carl P. Meyer (Michelle) of Carmichel, CA; life companion, Barbara Edmonson; step-daughter, Victoria Clemons (Andrew) of Pennsylvania; step-sons, Dennis Meyer of Pompano Beach and Robert Phillips (Donna) of Lake Wales; grandchildren, Matt Phillips, Pidge Williams, Mylee Meyer, RP Meyer; cousins, Dick Meyer (Delsie) Clinton, IN, Don Meyer (Sue) of Greenwood, IN, Diane Dickson of New Burch, IN, Judy Schnedier of Jacksonville, Fl, Mick Parlaman (Glenda) of Lillian, Al.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. A reception will be held at the Lake Wales Moose Lodge following the service.
