Charles L. "Chuck" Johnson

Charles L. "Chuck" Johnson of Frostproof passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

He was born June 6, 1925 in Newark, NJ to the late Richard & Isabel (Way) Johnson; he came here from Hollywood in 1977. He was a retired fireman for the City of Hialeah, was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid Tampa Bay Rays Fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Johnson; one daughter, Dale David (Bob) of Frostproof; two grandsons, Christopher David (Ashley) and Jonathan David; and three great-grandchildren, Ciara, Landon and
Mason.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 pm Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
