Charles Venson Kirk, 95

Charles Venson Kirk of Pigeon, Michigan passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Sebring.

He was born July 6, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Toni Kirk; he has been a winter resident for over 30 years. Charles was a retired teacher for the Detroit Public School System where he was named Detroit Teacher of the Year in 1967 and was a veteran of the United States Air Force who served in World War II. He loved golfing and writing. He was a great storyteller and did shows at the Tower Lakes clubhouse.

Charles is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carole Chesley-Kirk; daughter, Janet Kirk of Westland, Michigan; and son, Kenneth Kirk and wife Debbie of white Lake, Michigan.
