Charles Hall Hawkins

Charles H. “Hawk” Hawkins, 77 of Lake Wales, Florida passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on March 10, 1938 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Wilbur and Jean (Ruckman) Hawkins and he has been a resident of this area for 10 years moving here from Wheeling, West Virginia. He was a retired Plumber/Pipefitter in construction. Charles was an avid fisherman, Moose Lodge Trustee, he was a member of the American Legion and former member of the VFW. He served in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Doris “Dee” Hawkins; daughter, Sheryl Hibbitts of Winter Haven; son, Charles “Chuck” Hawkins of Wheeling, West Virginia; sisters, Doty Carl , Minnie Taylor and Debbie Hawkins all of Wheeling, West Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Jason Hibbitts, Jennifer Hibbitts and Bobbi Jo Smith; 5 grandchildren, Chase, Maddie, Ava, Adler and Isaiah.

Memorial services will be held 5:30 PM Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Lake Wales Moose Lodge.
