Charles D. “Chuck” Wittman of Babson Park, Florida passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Heart of Florida Hospital.

He was born June 27, 1949 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He has been a resident of the area since 1962. He was Owner of Porter Paint Store and Highland Floor Covering. Growing up Chuck worked for his parents at their IGA Grocery Store and was an avid member of the Boy Scouts of America. In 1969 he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and served as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts and later on as an adult was Little League coach for a few years. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

He is preceded in death by his father Jerome Wittman, wife Leonora “Lodi” Wittman, sister Patricia Matthews, brother Karl Wittman.

He is survived by his mother Betty Wittman, daughter Kendra Wittman Barnes of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, sons Charles Dennis “Denny” Wittman Jr. and wife Felicia Anne of Babson Park, FL, John Lowe Wittman and wife Channcy of St. Pete, FL, sisters Janice Thorp and husband Steven of Winter Haven, FL, Karen Etheridge and husband Steven of Lakeland, FL, Sandra Chebaro and husband Malek of Germany, brothers Duane Wittman and wife Carol of Richmond, VA, Michael Wittman of Babson Park, FL, and 8 grandchildren.

Family will greet friends and family Sunday, September 23, 2018 11:00AM until service time at 11:30AM at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lake Wales Care Center at 140 East Park Avenue Lake Wales, Fl. 33853 or Boy Scouts of America at 13228 N. Central Avenue Tampa, FL. 33612.

A reception will be held at the Babson Park Women’s Club immediately following the service.
