Charles Wayne Barnett, 74, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Charles was born in Noxapater, Mississippi, to Charlie Jeff Barnett and Opal Barnett. While serving with the FBI in Washington, D.C., he met the love of his life, Connie Rae Hoffman. They were married on October 19, 1970, and built a life centered on faith, family, and service to God.

A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, preacher, and friend, Charles faithfully shared the Gospel throughout his life. His greatest passion was teaching God's Word through his Country Time Bible Study, touching countless lives with his unwavering faith. He also enjoyed basketball, golf, and fishing.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; his daughters, Stacey Long (Todd) and Cheritie Mahoney (Matt); six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many cherished extended family members and dear friends.

Though his family grieves his absence, they rejoice in knowing he is now in the presence of his Savior whom he loved and served so faithfully. His legacy of faith, kindness, and love will continue through the generations he leaves behind.
