BABSON PARK--Charlene A. Berry, known by her grandchildren as Granonnie or Né Né of Babson Park died of heart failure Monday (October 23, 2006) at her residence. She was 67.

Born in Miami on June 29, 1939, she came to the area 10 years ago from Homestead. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Babson Park. She was a volunteer at Park Elementary School in Avon Park and enjoyed listening to the children read and giving them gifts.

She is survived by husband of 49 years, Roger K. Berry of Babson Park; daughters, Cindi Berry of Babson Park; Ginger Riddle of Orlando; sons, Craig Berry of Tifton, GA; Dennis Berry of Homestead; brothers, Charles Wesley Anthony III of Ocala; Walter Anthony of Fort Myers; grandchildren, Brenton Berry, Wesley Berry and Macie Berry all of Homestead; Clay Berry of Tifton, GA; Jackson Riddle, Gracie Alan Riddle and Bode Riddle all of Orlando.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 27, 2006 at the First Christian Church of Babson Park. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. A memorial service for Charlene will also be held in Homestead on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Redland Church of the Nazarene, 22755 SW 177 Avenue, Miami, FL 33170.
