Cellia Adams Johnson, 67, of 14251 Camp Mack Rd. Lake Wales, FL died peacefully at home Tuesday afternoon surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born August 26,1947 in Bonifay, FL to the late Cecil and Mary Sellers Adams. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a true friend to all that met her. She was an avid bass fisherman, competing in National Lady Bass Tournaments throughout the United States. She and her husband Carl founded and operated Carl's Lock and Safe Company in Tampa, FL before retiring and moving to Lake Wales.
She was a member of the Bass-N Gals, Lady Bass, the local Moose Lodge and the Christ Central Church.
Cellia is survived by her husband of 51years Carl, daughters Elizabeth (Beth) Shelnutt and Cellia (Cissy) Martin both of Lake Wales, sisters Olene Phillips of Gainesville, FL and Iris Goolsby of Alachua, FL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and also her faithful dog Gizmo.
Funeral services will be held at ll:00am Monday, March 23, 2015 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Michael Neal officiating. Interment will be held at the Lake Wales Cemetery Mausoleum. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22 from 5pm-7pm at Marion Nelson Funeral Home.
