Celine Barron

Celine Laverne Barron of Babson Park passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Grace Healthcare in Lake Wales.

She was born on a farm in Newton Township, WI on September 21, 1931 to the late William Gustau and Laura Amanda (Klawieter) Eichman. She married Gordon James Barron October 9, 1948 and they moved to the Lake Wales area in 1970 from Endeavor, WI. She worked at Citrus World for 12 years, and babysat her grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church of Babson Park, where she faithfully took care of the card ministry for 13 years.

Celine was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gordon James Barron, daughter, Phyllis Pope; sister, Berneda Zellmer; and a grandson, Eric Pope. Survivors include her children, Gordon Barron, Jr. (Wendy) of Sun City Center, Philip Barron of Inglis, James Barron (Vickie) of Lake Wales, Jeanette Motis (David) of Babson Park, Jane Peavy (John) of Lake Wales and Paul Barron (Michele) of Springfield, MS; sister, Marlene Buchholz (Edward) of Montello, WI; 18 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 16, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Babson Park. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
