Cecile Christine Smith Walcutt

Cecile Christine Smith-Walcutt, 93, of Lake Wales, FL., passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.

Born February 17, 1922, in Charleston, South Carolina, she is predeceased by her parents, John Andrew Smith and Fannie Wilson Campbell Smith, her husband, Hardin Owsley Walcutt and her grandson, Richard Wood Arnold.

Christine was a long time resident of Lake Wales where she lived since 1955. She graduated from Winthrop College and found great joy in teaching, reading, playing the piano and as a librarian.

Survivors include her daughters, Carole Cornell (Duane) of Venice, FL. , Susan Oakley, (Dwight) of Naples, FL., and Sarah Walcutt-Febish of Sarasota, FL. , grandson John Walcutt Arnold and granddaughters Jordan Willow and Jillian Wren Febish.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date in Midway, Kentucky.
