Cecil E. “Bear” Teasley, 77

Cecil E. “Bear” Teasley of Fort Meade passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Winter Haven Heath and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born January 22, 1945 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Geraldine Tice Faircloth; he moved to Lake Wales as a child and has been a lifelong resident of this area. Cecil was retired from Florida’s Natural and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. He was a former volunteer fireman, former volunteer of the Police Auxiliary, and a volunteer of the Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.

Cecil was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Faircloth, and Bill Shuman. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patty Teasley; daughter, Donna Grunholzer and husband James of Fort Meade; sons, Eric Teasley and wife Amy of Babson Park, Chris Teasley of Auburndale, and David Johnson and wife Tina of Yulee; sisters, Eula Carden of Lake Wales, Grace Frolich of Lake Wales, and Bobbi Bloxham of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Megan, Courtney, Hallie, Mason, Kagan, James, and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Raegan, and Sebastian.

A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 14, 2022 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
