FROSTPROOF--Cecil M. Isom, 92, of Frostproof died of cancer Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at The Groves Center in Lake Wales.
Born March 16, 1915 in Moultrie, GA; he came to Frostproof from Quitman, GA in 1951. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mr. Isom was preceded in death by his son, Cecil M. Isom, Jr. in 1969. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Myrtice Isom of Frostproof; daughters, Faye & Ric Ramon of Mulberry; Carolyn & Wayne Blocker of Frostproof; JoAnn & Gordon Marshall of Avon Park; son, Clyde D. “Danny” & Beverly Isom of Lake Wales; brother, Earl Isom of Palm Bay; sister, Rosetta Milton of Kissimmee; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until service time at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 31, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof with Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof.
