Cathie Kipe

Cathie Kipe of Lake Wales passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Winter Haven Hospital.

She was born March 5, 1944 in Deposit, NY to the late George "Rock" & Catherine "Nete" (Mayle) Croston; she came to the area in 1970 from Fort Lauderdale. She was a retired school bus driver, a devoted homemaker and an active member of the First Assembly of God in Lake Wales. She was a volunteer for the Circle of Friends and enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Kipe III; two sons, Troy Kipe (Mary Beth) of Lake Wales and Rodney Kipe (Traci) of Bismarck, ND; sister, Roxanne Sutton of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Samuel, Charter, Cate and Grace.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Lake Wales. A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the First Assembly of God in Lake Wales with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery. For those who wish, donations may be sent to the Circle of Friends Ministry (105 East Stuart Avenue, Lake Wales, FL 33853).
