HOMER, Mich. -- Mrs. Catherine Mae Spence of Homer, Mich., died of heart failure Thursday (Oct. 20, 2005) at Lake Wales Medical Center. She was 65.

Born Feb. 12, 1940, in Dundee, Mich., Mrs. Spence spent her last five winters in Frostproof. She worked as a bookkeeper for Tecumseh. She was a Catholic.

Mrs. Spence is survived by her husband, Robert E. Spence; daughter, Colleen M. Stoddard, Deerfield, Mich.; son, Robert M. Spence, Britton, Mich.; sisters, Marline Semmers and Janice Campbell, both of Tecumseh; and three grandchildren.
