CASSANDRA LYNNE DAWKINS CAUDILL, 68

Cassie “Cass” Caudill, 68, of Lake Wales, passed away Sunday, August 12th 2018 at home with her sister by her side.
Cass was born June 20, 1950 in Greenville, MS, to the late Charles Harold and Rebecca (Chittom) Dawkins. She graduated from Leland High School, class of 1968. Following graduation, she attended Mississippi State College for Women (MSCW), and was a member of the Troubadours Sorority. Cass moved to Washington D.C. where she began her 34 year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She received numerous awards during her time at the FBI. Upon Richard’s retirement they moved to Punta Gorda, FL where they lived until moving to Lake Wales in early 2006.

Cass was an active member at Hope Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven, FL where she served as a Deacon. She was also a member of the Lake Ashton Travelers Club, the Bowling Babes and the Lake Ashton Performing Arts, and performed with the Ladies Singers. She performed in many talent showcases and was the chairperson of the Lake Ashton Performing Arts Committee. She was a singer and also performed at nursing homes for the residents. She and her husband enjoyed boating, RVing, and cruising and touring the world visiting every country except Iceland, although that was on their bucket list.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 31 years, Richard “Dick” Caudill who passed away September 22, 2015.
Survivors include her sister, Trudy Dawkins Morlino (Buster); her brother, Charles “Chuck” H. Dawkins, Jr.; nieces, Rebecca Anne Peacock and Lauren Dawkins McIntire; and nephew, James Cully Dawkins; special friend, Jim Para, and loving family members residing in Mississippi and Georgia.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Hope Presbyterian Church in Winter Haven with Rev. Owen Carriker officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Presbyterian Church, 2110 Cypress Gardens Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33884 or to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
