LAKE WALES--Carolyn Ann Sheffield, 56, of Lake Wales passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 due to cancer at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland.

Born August 14, 1951 in Mayo, Florida; she was a lifelong resident of Lake Wales. She was a store clerk for Beall’s Outlet and was of the Church of God faith.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Horace Brown & Winnona Hunt Lawson. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Edward Sheffield, Sr. of Lake Wales; sons, David Sheffield of Lake Wales; Ed Sheffield Jr. of Norfolk, VA; Ruben Sheffield of Cottonwood, AL; brothers, Larry Lawson and Gary Lawson both of Polk City, FL; sisters, Hilda Duncan of Gadsen, AL; Helen Smith of Polk City, FL; and 4 grandchildren.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2007 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home with Rev. Denny Cothern officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Lake Wales Cemetery.
