Carolyn Geraldine “Jerry” DuBose of Lake Wales passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at her daughter’s residence in Lakeland due to Parkinson’s Disease.

Born January 27, 1928 in Avon Park to the late Jasper and Lettie Witt, she was a lifelong resident of this area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Frostproof Church of Christ. She was a loving and dedicated mother who lived for her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Y. DuBose Sr. and son, Lowell DuBose Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Diane Anderson of Lakeland, Jeannine Ledford (husband-David Jr.) of LaFayette, GA, Cindy Monk (husband-Marvette) of Frostproof and Laura Thomas (husband-Jim) of Kinston, AL; brother, Jasper O. Witt Jr. (wife-Connie) of Haines City, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including her special caregiver and grandson, Kent Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 21, 2008 at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof. Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Frostproof Church of Christ with viewing beginning at 1:00 PM with John “Uddie” DuBose Sr. and Johnny DuBose Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Silver Hill Cemetery.
