Carolyn Salome Detrano

Carolyn Salome DeTrano of Lake Wales passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at The Meadows in Winter Haven.

She was born March 10, 1930 in Dayton, OH to the late John C. & Margaret Wissinger; she came here in 2007 from Clearwater where she has lived since 1978 coming from Columbus, OH. She was a retired business secretary and prior to her illness was a member of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater, where she was very active and sang in the choir. She was also an accomplished pianist and enjoyed dancing and photography.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas DeTrano in 1994. Survivors include her daughter, Sandi Stoops (Husband-Ed) of Lake Wales; three grandchildren, James (wife-Heather), Aaron and Jenny; and three great-grandchildren, Lilli, Owen & Marybeth.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the First Assembly of God in Lake Wales with Rev. Walter Nelson officiating. Catholic services and burial at the Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio will follow later in July.
